Bizim Kiez Street Meeting – Childcare Centres,
Schools and Families under Threat of Displacement
12th October, 6.00 – 9.00 PM
THREATS OF DISPLACEMENT TOWARDS CHILDCARE CENTRES,
SCHOOLS AND FAMILIES?
More and more educational institutions in the neighbourhood are coming under pressure:
- Childcare centres: alongside overloaded staff and a lack of capacity there is also displacement due to rising rents accompanied by a lack of security of tenure owing to commercial rental agreements.
- Schools: Shortage of space, overcrowding and bad planning dominate, and we are seeing attempts at playing surrounding schools off against one another.
Speaking: The parent governor of the Fichtelgebirge Primary School and a representative of the Berlin childcare and after-school centres’ association (DaKS)
Wednesday, 12th October 2016 from 6.00 P.M.
